Fixes: ------ -Fixed glitch in pseudo-IDing. -Fixed glitch in IDing certain 'flavoured' items. -Fixed some artifact description texts regarding the item's base type. -Shop checks on which items they (don't) buy fixed. -Character mode selection will be skipped on RPG-rules servers. -PvP loot in arena should time out fast so as not to litter it. -Examining an un*ID*ed item in a store-like house should no longer result in double messages. -Very long messages would lose their correct colour and turn white. -Maze levels no longer kill vault walls. -'Cur/Max' attributes colour glitch fixed in 'C' screen. -Charred ammunition cannot be used for techniques. -Wall-killing monsters can also kill trees. -Growing trees and other terrain modifications will now correctly update players' views. -Angels made immune to light (and to PSI). -Prevent growing trees 'under' a monster. -Opening empty chests no longer plays an opening sound. -Randart rusty mails may sell now. -Lighting glitch with enlightenment spells fixed. -Skills that are maxed at lower values at 50.000 should now display correctly in light blue colour. -Discharging items should correctly redraw charges number. -TIME spell damage effect fixed: Will no longer perma-freeze monsters, and possibly lock up the player too. -Very long /me emotes are no longer aligned extremely far to the right. -Linux client should no longer crash when attempting to transfer house ownership. -Crash fixed if a player partaking in blood-bond timed out. -Waiting for too long when prompted for a macro trigger key in macro menu should no longer cause timeout. -Runespells affecting AC should correctly redraw displayed AC. -Bug in runespell fixed that caused excessive AC gain. -Runecraft: Some incorrectly named damage types got their names corrected. -Targetting for rods, activatable items and mimic powers works correctly now. -Changing certain client options will now correctly redraw the screen regarding their effects. -Priority of certain spell messages fixed: Sleep takes precedence over confusion for example. -Willpower duration displayed when browsing the spell. -When Sauron is encountered, his music should correctly be played instead of special unique music. -Fire-till-kill should no longer fire one additional time after the target became invalid. -Mimics should correctly receive all their intrinsic spells after logging on. -Various money overflow checks added in case someone has more than 2 billion gold ;). -Players can no longer be locked into a house they don't own, instead they will be phased out. -Visual glitch fixed: Remaining gold line no longer popping up sometimes in list houses. -Glitch in temporary fear resistance fixed. -Cleansing Light and Forest's Embrace healing cloud spells will now correctly give credit if an (undead) monster dies from the effect. Affected were Draconian, Mindcrafter, Shaman, Adventurer and Runemaster. -Players no longer need to leave their party for a blood-bond duel. -Unique monsters may not spawn in dungeon towns (new feat see below). -Very shallow floors can't be NO_MAP anymore. -Resurrecting also restores drained experience. -Players who log on into walls because they saved on a dungeon level will be auto-phased once. -Non-runemasters (adventurers) are restricted to 2-rune combinations at most. -Monsters and players can target and directly hit each other now if they stand on wall grids, as long as no further wall blocks the line of sight. -Quick'n'dirty macros no longer support '*'->'*t' shortcut, to allow players to also use '*q' to abort target if they want to. -Damage of mindcrafter spells psionic blast and especially pyrokinesis and cryokinesis was increased. -Confused/blind players may fumble when trying to open a door. -Self-runespells check for antimagic _shell_ now. New Features: ------------- -Party-BBS (and Guild-BBS) added: Use /pbbs or /gbbs command. -Runes can be used in 'magic' monster traps. -Rangers can train Archery skill up to 10.000 to learn techniques and for damage bonus. -Equipping randarts of similar name ('of ' and just '' count as the same) adds a 'set' +LUCK bonus, the more randarts the higher. -New Mindcrafter spell 'Kinetic Shield'. -Sound effect handling improved: Nearby players can hear certain sfx, more or less loud depending on distance. -Added /untag u and /untag p variants to remove unique name tags or pseudo-id tags. /untag * removes all inscriptions. -RBE_SHATTER (earthquake melee attack) adds an extra +STR bonus to mimicked monster form. -Martyr spell prevents insanity too. -Druids learn 'Sprint' technique. -Rangers learn how to swim automatically. -Various 'newbie warnings' added. -Dungeon towns added. Use with @x item inscription as you usually would. -The macro menu (% key) now features a 'Macro Wizard' (z key), which allows for easy step-by-step macro creation. -New static artifacts added. -Half-trolls' STR even is sustained through swimming exertion. -6th client window now enabled by default and set to display equipment. -Magic devices, mimic powers and trapping kits may now also be called-by-name. -Commands such as take off or wield will only test for items that are in the correct place ie inventory or equipment for the action to be performed, allowing for certain scenarios with multiple items inscribed the same way. In this regard, if a command may apply to both equipped or non-equipped items, inscriptions on equipped items will be checked first. The new swap command 'x' is an exception and checks inventory before equipment. -Examining (inspecting) an armour will now tell you your total AC if you wore it as well as any encumberment changes. -Added messages to nearby players if a player is teleported away by a monster. -Teleport/phasing now causes audible sound effect to other players nearby. -All ironman dungeons now notify all party members inside it whenever one of them takes a staircase onwards (RPG-like). -Doors getting bashed open by monsters cause a sound effect now. -New targetting feature '.' when prompted for direction, means: "Use previously set target if it's still valid, or cancel/discard the action instead of executing it." This allows to prevent overcasting ie wasting mana. Example usage: *tf. to conserve non-returning ammunition, or *tm@11\r@Manathrust\r. to conserve mana. All macros created with the new Macro Wizard will use this type of targetting by default. -Players may turn their house into a store by inscribing items in a certain way, see guide (4.10a). Entering a store can be done via opening the door or via 'h' key or /pstore command. -Players may paint their house entrance using a potion to determine the colour, see guide (4.10). Painting a house can be done via 'h' key or /paint command. -House doors of someone of incompatible character mode (everlasting/pvp) now appear dark grey. -Hacked SDL_mixer.dll to support backward-jumps in mod files. -Auto-retaliation: New inscription variant '@Ot..' only auto-retaliates while in town. Magic devices now fully and correctly (rods) usable for auto-retaliation. Teleport-like features are no longer usable for auto-retaliation. Mimic powers now also correctly usable for auto-retaliation.
